Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how GoContento processes refunds for Advertisers and Publishers. We aim to be fair to all parties while maintaining a high-quality marketplace.

1. Wallet Credits (Advertiser Deposits)

1.1 Non-Refundable Credits

Funds deposited into your GoContento Wallet are generally non-refundable. This includes top-ups made via Stripe, Razorpay, or PayPal. Wallet credits do not expire and can be used for any future orders on the Platform.

1.2 Exceptions — Refunds May Be Granted

We will process a refund of unused Wallet credits in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate payment: you were charged twice for the same deposit
• Unauthorized transaction: your payment method was used without your consent (requires supporting evidence)
• Platform error: a technical fault resulted in an incorrect charge
• Account closure: you close your account and have an unused positive Wallet balance (refundable net of any pending transactions)

Refund requests under these exceptions must be submitted within 30 days of the charge to [email protected] with supporting documentation.

2. Order Cancellations

2.1 Cancelled Before Publisher Accepts

If you cancel an order before the Publisher accepts it, the full order amount is returned to your Wallet immediately. No fees are charged.

2.2 Cancelled After Publisher Accepts

If you cancel after the Publisher has accepted the order but before content is submitted, 85% of the order value is returned to your Wallet. A 15% cancellation fee compensates the Publisher for their time.

2.3 Cancelled After Content Submitted

Once a Publisher has submitted content for review, cancellations are not permitted unless the content materially fails to meet the agreed brief (see Section 3 — Disputes).

3. Content Quality Disputes

If you believe submitted content does not meet the agreed brief, you may raise a dispute within 14 days of content submission. GoContento will review the original brief and submitted content and may:

• Request the Publisher to revise the content (Publishers are entitled to 2 revision rounds)
• Grant a partial refund (20–80% of order value) if content quality is substantially below brief
• Grant a full refund if content is completely off-brief or plagiarised
• Release payment to Publisher if the content meets the stated brief, and the dispute is found to be without merit

GoContento's decision in content disputes is final.

4. Content Removed Prematurely

Publishers are required to keep published content live for a minimum of 12 months (or the period stated in the listing). If a Publisher removes content before this period without Advertiser consent, the Advertiser is entitled to:

• A pro-rata refund based on the proportion of the guaranteed period remaining, OR
• A replacement placement on another Publisher site of equal or greater value (at GoContento's discretion)

Advertisers must report premature content removal within 60 days of discovering it.

5. Publisher Earnings

Publisher earnings are not refundable once an order is marked complete and the 14-day dispute window has passed. If a dispute results in a refund to the Advertiser, the corresponding Publisher earnings are reversed before they are withdrawn.

6. Platform Fees

GoContento's platform commission (currently 20%) is non-refundable once an order is completed, except in cases of verified Platform error or disputed orders resolved fully in the Advertiser's favour.

7. How to Request a Refund

1. Log in to your GoContento account and open a support ticket
2. Select “Billing & Refunds” as the category
3. Provide the order ID or transaction ID, the reason for your request, and any supporting evidence
4. We will review your request within 5 business days and respond via email
5. Approved refunds are returned to your Wallet or original payment method within 7–14 business days
